Welcome! My name is Christelle and I am the owner of Tricot & Stitch. Delighted to meet you!

In a nutshell : French indie dyer & pattern designer, I sell yarn in my Etsy shop, host a knitting podcast on Youtube and design knitting patterns.

My yarns

My yarns are available in my Etsy shop. I also make knitting markers and sell knitting goodies illustrated by talented UK illustrator Emma Ball.

In january 2021 I started a monthly yarn club: the Sock Knitter’s Almanac. That’s a new colorway every month, inspired by a theme linked to the on-going month and associated to a sock pattern that enables us to broaden our palette of sock knitting techniques. More on that on the blog, there’s a new Almanac post every month.

Also, I specialize in custom colorways: send me a picture or a moodboard illustrating the colour of your dreams and I will do my very best to make your yarny dream come true! Drop me a message on Etsy if you’re interested.

The shop is updated once a week on Monday afternoons.

My designs

I’m passionate about knitting techniques and want to conquer them all! I’m always learning, always discovering and in constant wonder at the possibilities offered by yarn and needles. My designs reflect my love of knitting techniques and might seem intricate at first but the secret is: they’re not! The ideal knitting pattern for me is 1. Not Boring 2. Never Boring 3. Simple enough half of it can be knitted on auto-pilot. Contradictory? Nah. Just check out Millésime or Sarisse! They fit the bill perfectly! ^-^

All my designs can be found in my Ravelry shop. My designs have been published in Laine, Pom Pom Mag, Knotions and in “I Knit Paris”.

The Podcast

Every Monday at 5 pm Paris time, join me on my Youtube channel for a yarny and friendly chat by the (virtual) fireplace! I usually share my WIPS and FOs, show you the new yarn in the shop and happily chat about life and yarn and knitting and yarn and a bit of cross-stitch / spinning. Did I mention yarn?

About me

I’m a mompreneur! Tricot & Stitch has been my full time job since July 2019 and I have four children born between 2007 and 2018. My days are NOT boring! ^-^

I love monster movies/books/series but also anything fantasy, sci-fi, light horror/horror comedy and thriller. I listen to a lot of audio books while I dye and design and knit. My inspiration sources include nature, seasons, folklore and pop-culture. Besides knitting, I love spinning, cross-stitching and painting.
