Jimmy est un châle triangulaire très graphique, doté d’une généreuse bordure en dentelle.
La première partie du châle se tricote très rapidement et facilement, c’est le tricot télé par excellence : des rangs de jersey, un changement de couleur par ci-par là pour ne pas s’endormir et une petite touche funky pour les dernières rayures : la technique du Swing Knitting.
Avec la bordure en dentelle, les choses sérieuses commencent ! Aucune difficulté insurmontable à l’horizon mais une soixantaine de marqueurs et pas de rangs de repos. Le motif « Daintier Chevrons » est simple, addictif et arachnéen.
La touche finale est apportée par la bordure tricotée perpendiculairement, un best of de mes préférées du genre, remixées à la sauce Christelle.
Soundtrack conseillé pour ce tricot : Le Best Of de Jimmy Somerville, années 1980-1990 (The Communards/Bronski Beat), dont le châle tire son nom !

Jimmy is a triangular shawl combining bold graphism and a romantic lace edging.
The first part of the shawl knits up quickly and easily, perfect for knitting in front of TV or at knit night : stockinette stitch with a bit of color change here and there, and to spice things up a bit, the swing knitting technique.
With the lace border, “serious” knitting is about to happen! No impassable difficulty but sixty-something markers and no rest row.
The« Daintier Chevrons » pattern is simple yet addictive and absolutely beautiful. The final touch comes with the knitted-on edging, a remix of my favourite ones.
